Dr. Lorraine Pannett, University of Manchester
She completed her PhD at the University of Manchester. Her supervisor is Encarnación Gutiérrez Rodríguez. Drawing on work with people seeking asylum in Manchester, Lorraine’s thesis asks what it means to make a livable life in the conditions of existence of seeking asylum. Questions of livability are interwoven with questions of recognition, social justice and care.
Lorraine’s MA is in Social Justice. Before returning to study, she worked in further education and human resources.
