Dr. Shirley Anne Tate (UoL)

Dr. Shirley Anne Tate, University of Leeds

She is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds. Her research focuses particularly on the body, work, racialization, ‘mixed race’ and post-coloniality. She has published widely in these areas both in the UK and Europe and her books Black Skins, Black Masks : Hybridity, Dialogism, Performativity and Black Beauty: Aesthetics, Stylization, Politics take up these pre-occupations.
